ABOUT NETTERADIO
'NetteRadio is a weekly 2-hour internet radio show that is dedicated to promoting unsigned women musicians. Hosted by Annette Conlon with The Conlons (formerly from band Eden Automatic) the show broadcasts live each Wednesday night from our studios in Culver City, CA.
ABOUT ANNETTE CONLON
HERSTORY:
I started hosting the show in 2001 and have made numerous changes over the years. In the old days we'd go down to DLP Rehearsals in Dallas, TX to broadcast our show. NetteRadio has evolved from a guest/chat format to an all female artist format in 2003. In 2004, thanks to Renegade Radio, we were able to move the show into our own studio and we've never looked back! In 2007 we relocated to LA and in 2009 to Culver City - the perfect location!

My volunteer work includes coordinating the annual GoGirlsMusicFests where we work closely with each beneficiary and each local GoGirlsMusic Coordinator to raise money and awareness. Beneficiaries include: Rock N Roll Camp for Girls, MusiCares, The Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research, Caring Bridge, animal friendly choice (Dallas - Operation Kindness, LA - Kitten Rescue's Casita Hotel for Cats), UNOS United Network of Organ Sharing, The Harvest Home. In 2003-04 I helped friends Baby Jane Hudson with Women Rockin' 4 Women which in its second year expanded to 4 venues as we helped to raise money for New Beginnings (a Dallas women’s shelter).
I've also organized benefits to raise money and awareness for The American Red Cross (Love for Haiti 2/10), Toys for Tots (12/09), 411Org GINA FOUNDation (2008,2009), Operation Kindness (1999), collected books for the VA Hospital ('Nette for Vets 2007, 2008) and more.
GET ORGANIZED:
I work with several music organizations including Daisy Rock Guitars, GoGirlsMusic, Shout It Out Promo, Songsalive!, Songnet, COSMO (Coalition of Songwriters and Music Organizations), Indiegrrls, Rockinmoms, Mamapalooza, and LAWIM (Los Angeles Women In Music).
SHOW OFF:
Since August 2008 I have produced a monthly artist showcase at The Talking Stick in Venice, CA called "NetteRadio 2nd Fridays". Beginning in April, 2010 I am producing a monthly showcase at Genghis Cohen entitled NetteRadio 1st Thursdays (co-presented by Shout It Out Promotions, LLC). In 2008 I booked a monthly artist night at The Cat Club in West Hollywood.
MUSIC FESTIVAL
I am currently producing the NetteRadio Women's Day Stage at Rose City Rocks, Pasadena, CA www.rosecityrocks.com bringing together the top women originations to present the best in SoCal female music with artists from: NetteRadio, Mamapalooza, Rockinmoms, GoGirlsMusic, LAWIM, Daisy Rock and more TBA!
