About GoGirlsMusic.com
GoGirls is a unique organization that focuses on advancing the careers of
independent female artists. Founded in early 1996, the organization works
tirelessly to help artists through education, networking, and events like the
GoGirlsMusicFest, Invasion of the GoGirls @ SXSW, Folk Alliance and more.
Artists who become involved have the opportunity to perform, have their work
reviewed, and get involved with a hardworking group of women who "get things
done" in the music scene. More info at
www.gogirlsmusic.com
About GoGirlsElite:

of annual showcase events across the United States. The festival promotes
independent women in music while supporting various charities which have
included MusiCares, Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls, American Liver Foundation, The
Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research, the Harvest Home, and more.

the U.S.
About the Los Angeles GoGirlsMusicFest Annual Showcase:
The 2011 Los Angeles Showcase benefits The Red Thread Movement (http://www.redthreadmovement.org )
a student initiative partnering with Eternal Threads to combat sexual slavery
in Nepal. Seven GoGirlsMusic Elite artists will perform at the
Los Angeles Chapter Showcase and each artist will provide an auction item to
help raise additional funds in our annual GGMF "Noisy Auction". Red Thread
Bracelets will be available for sale to help raise additional funds. Our
collective voice informs vast audiences about the horrors of sexual slavery.
ABOUT THE RED THREAD MOVEMENT The Red Thread
Movement is an initiative that unites voices against the human rights
violation of sex trafficking. The signature Red Thread bracelet, which is
handmade by an at-risk or rescued girl in Nepal, is a symbol of awareness
that helps fund the continuous efforts to rehabilitate victims and
eliminate trafficking. Red Thread Music recruits an array of talented
musicians to use their voices to get audiences involved in the fight. It
encourages people to break the silence by telling others about this
injustice and wear freedom to show that they choose to take a stand
against sexual slavery. We wear their freedom on our arms!
